All English voice acting for Asian games is garbage because of the Western "muh animu" voice acting directing. Its dogshit, even if the voice actors themselves are amazing and talented.
You're always much better served playing an Asian game with the native language and subtitles.

To understand when Ben is so insanely overglazed you have to understand how insecure the final fantasy fanbase is. The second Ben spoke positively about the series the fans elevated him to god status. They are just so desperate for vindication that him saying FF8 is good creates an immediate cult of personality where they consider him a friend, an ambassador, etc. And even though his work with FF is done they still talk about him daily like he's "our Ben" and frankly the whole thing is embarrassing. Dude seems fine and he did a good job but the over eager ass licking is so sad.
