I would just buy Alice Madness Returns on Steam, activate the DLC, and then go to GOG.com and buy American Mcgee's Alice, start the sequel in the Desktop mode of the Steam Deck, exit the game, put the Alice 1 folder into the Alice 2 Steam folder, put the code in there, start the game in Gaming Mode, then use Alt+Enter, and then start playing the first game with the Steam Deck's resolutions legally.

It's something called high DPI settings, right click the game icon on your desktop, go to show more options / properties, then comptibility, then change high DPI settings, and then tinker with override high DPI or something like that, you only have a few options to test out.

I don't know what high or low DPI means, but I played a few games where this was an issue.
