W+M1 is a powerful tactic, but it also results in you dying in a matter of seconds most of the time. Airblasting and sandvich conservation are key to playing these classes well, along with not walking into sightlines that you know are covered by enemy Snipers.

For me, it's not so much that sniper is OP or uncounterable, it's just that the average player on TF2 nowadays is just complete dogshit and will do nothing to work with the team to take him down.

Just remove/rework Razorback and Danger Shield. Sniper can keep his damage output, but he shouldn't have a middle finger to his counters on top of that.

Remove all sniper secondaries and he's fine unless someone's botting.

100% this. Modern TF2 players spend most of their time watching e-celeb videos and crying over good players killing them instead of actually learning how to play the fucking game themselves.
