The game's way too easy in the Royal version, you get way too many stacking XP bonuses so you basically end up fighting the bare minimum of enemies if you don't want to be overleveled as fuck. Which in turn means you don't need to manage your SP since you're barely fighting anyway. I mean sure, it became a non issue in the original too once you bought the SP accessories from Tae, but shit's actually a joke from the very start now.
Pacing is sometimes atrocious and you spend forever just talking to people at points, maybe it was a good thing that the fucking cat told me to go to sleep in the original.
That's basically it, otherwise it's fine for a modern JRPG. I would prefer to have more complex dungeons but I guess I have to be thankful that it has dungeons at all in this day and age.
