It’s a fine game, but I couldn’t get over how obsolete and a waste some echoes became when you find better ones every 5 minutes. At least the limitations in the dream challenges gave a few of them another fun purpose.

I really enjoyed completing the game. Though my save file is cursed that the last echo I got was the singing frog that only spawns near the church. But I did get the stamps in a nice repeating order (according to the internal file names).

First hour of Echoes of Wisdom blew me away, my mind was racing with all of the things they could possibly do in a game like this. But then a few hours in they blow their load with everything the game has to offer and you just do the same exact stuff the rest of the game with nothing really that special to do.

Pretty accurate. They didn't really do enough with the summoning. The table, box, and bed you get in the first 10 minutes are all you need for any platforming puzzle and the combat is just spamming your strongest guy until he kills everything. I did enjoy it but it was clearly made with small children in mind.

I will say I loved the fuck out of Bananza, comparing it to Mario Odyssey I found it a lot more satisfyingly challenging throughout. It wasn't a hard game at all obvs, but it felt like it balanced "modern baby mode" and sunshine era difficulty pretty well.

With the exception of the "super tough final level" trope theyve been doing in the last handful of 3D marios. I know its more complex cuz theres a lot of extra tough challenge levels for each bananza, but the final one that combines all of them was really disappointing. Even Odyssey's took me longer and I was really excited by it initially being tough because the ostrich section right at the start is easily the toughest bit of the entire game.

Nobody wanted a solo playable Zelda game other than the estrogen filled they/them (male) nerds that take over discussion of this series now. EOW is a failure of game design and I honestly wish Aonuma let Grezzo make a good Link game instead because there hasn't been one since ALBW.
You can tell it was going to be a normal game given Link was fully playable at the start, til he quote "upended the tea table" with his shitty echo zelda idea. What actually would've made this game good would've been an active two character system with a swap button, where Link and Zelda change leads while the other is an AI, Zelda has the bullshit physics/magic and Link has all of the puzzle/action tools he usually has. Imagine the whole game, but like the final boss and null's body. Link and Zelda could've grow together, but she doesn't even know the fucker. Sprit tracks will remain the best there. The story/character and lore feel like they were thought of in 15 minutes. The devs also didn't even believe in their own system because they gave her a turn into link button, which is the most retarded idea if you actually consider what's happening, Zelda, dawning fucking cosplay of link. Imagine that shit in a 3D game. Embarrassing

I think it is for this games case. Zelda is and always has been supporting character, so I find it more natural that she would group back up with the actual main character or be teamed up with him. It just feels like shit, like when movies make stories about the comic relief side character.
