HGSS has the battle frontier when GSC didn't, RFLF has Sevii islands while RBGY didn't. The point of a remake is to make the game better, not worse.
And let's not talk about the free Latios/Latias during midgame, the Delta Episode and Sky Pillar that are a joke, the soaring that is half assed.

first, the game felt like a reskin of X/Y because I noticed some structures that had different textures but were basically the same.
second, while I get that free roaming is cool and all there was no reason to gift the player a latios/latias.

It was probably the first sign that GF actively hates its playerbase and thinks they will just eat up any old shit they give them, and worse still they're right. SV was the pinnacle of it. Yeah there were a lot of technical issues but some of the design decisions like the tiny fucking overworld Pokemon you constantly run into feel actively spiteful

Crystal had Battle Tower. HGSS only has Battle Frontier because they could copy it from Platinum, if Platinum didn't exist it would probably only have the DP Battle Tower for parity with Crystal.
Platinum was in the oven for two years despite being a third version and HGSS came a year after Platinum. On the other hand ORAS came just a year after XY and all they had to copy was the Battle Maison. ORAS wasn't a total crapshoot either because we got the Delta Episode for compensation at least.
Of course, nobody forced GF to release ORAS so quickly and I'm not defending them but there is a technical reason for the omission of Battle Frontier. If instead of ORAS they made Z first and ORAS took SM slot then ORAS would probably have Battle Frontier or something similar because XY had a ton of cut content. I think the entire 7th gen was a mistake and they should have instead fleshed out the 6th gen more and have SS arrive earlier as 7th gen and also have two games.

Look I like Gen 9 and I wanna agree with you that it has a lot of content but having a lot of content isn't necessarily a boom if the content itself isn't fun or enjoyable and frankly for me I couldn't care less about the raids in SV, the 3 main routes aren't challenging and I tried to keep myself within the same level constantly but it was just too easy to be over levelled from just wanting to explore, which is the main appeal of the game. The DLC was great, but it's not worth 35 bucks. Xenoblade 2 Torna was 20 bucks. Its genuinely overpriced for the content it provides. And the game looks ugly. We are talking Vanilla Emerald ugly. And as a region its just a very poor adaptation of Spain and Portugal. Adapting full countries was a mistake they started doing with Kalos and shouldn't have been repeated, let alone two whole countries in one region with the center being Made in Abyss.

I agree but you can just turn it off. That isn't even an option post-USUM. Kalos is a terrible region, Hoenn is good and Alola is great despite the excessive railroading. XY is the worst 3DS-era game, but even it is better than the Switch games.

The problem with the ORAS designs is that they lack all subtlety. The original designs say the exact same things about the character, but they don't need to make Archie a 24/7 wetsuit-wearing pirate with an impractical anchor. Just compare RS and Emerald Wallace images to ORAS Wallace. It's so fucking in your face. Now I know that Pokémon fans are so obnoxiously autistic that they openly wear Pokémon clothing and carry merchandise around like a child who can't go without his toys, or a fedora neckbeard with a gamer shirt, but just because you want to look retarded in real life doesn't mean Pokédex ever should have. HGSS Blaine is a great design, but I'm sure there are people here who think it's BORING AND LAME, and that he would be improved with additional robot limbs and a giant quiz board strapped to his back and a fireman helmet and his sunglasses are now huge.
