>giving cartoon/anime characters hyper-realistic details
Mind you this was the time when celshading in videogames hit its peak but they went with the creepy realistic mario style instead. Unironically, what were they thinking

Reminder that it only looks like this because Bandai saw the NINTENDO HIRE THIS MAN pics of putting a guy in a Unreal Engine field and thought that's what the gaijin were into.

I know the game sucks ass and the animations are terrible but I still found it kinda charming. The jump world clashing with ours and Ryo Saeba had me pick up a copy after a deep discount. Plus the games abandonware now just download it for free
>>718134128 (OP) >reveal >tell everyone is it looks like fucking shit >get bombarded with NOOOO STOP BEING NEGATIVE! IT LOOKS GREAT! YOU HAVEN'T EVEN PLAYED IT YET, HOW DO YOU KNOW ITS SHIT??? >releases >its shit >everyone now pretends they always thought it was bad >this happens with fucking everything
Sparking Zero too lmfao.
I hate how these crossovers have the biggest potential to tell cool stories, yet they go for a boring "they are part of the same organization.. For some reason lol" story.

As soon as the game was announced, people were sucking that shit up like crazy. If you weren't someone bitching about the art style you were caught up in the hype. That's just the amount of dicksucking that shonen properties were getting - up until the game released and it was complete and utter ass plus an unapologetic MCU parody played straight.

Based. Once they get discounted, these fanservice games are pretty fun to fuck around with.
All Star Battle R is like that. It's so simple too so you don't feel like you need to waste a ton of time learning how to play it compared to something like Tekken.
