The release of system sellers and games in general has slowed way down since the late 2000s. I struggle to name 5 good non-indies releasing for specific systems even with flat games.

VR would still have the advantage, because people are erroneously still stuck on the outdated and lame console controllers for everything.
Games can no longer be designed where interacting with an object can be more complex than hovering vaguely near it, because dual analog can't let the player look at specific things without inducing an aneurysm.
So in respect to what most people are using, it is a massive leap forward... or backward as the case may be.
Ultimately VR is a monitor replacement/complement, not a controller replacement, and while you could use M&KB for VR, it obviously becomes much more limited than motion control in a few key ways. You only have one cursor and only have 2DoF, rather than full 6DoF.

Those grapes were too sour anyway. You like M&KB because it's a good abstraction, if you had a better abstraction, then you'd like that.
