Good for the most part. It's the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary so becasue it's a Marian Feast day, it's going to be a good day regardless. Alien Earth, the first two episodes were okay to great. I like the brother, sister, Prodigy billionaire and the Yutani cyborg characters. And the new alien types are fascinating. No, I played it quite a bit last year and I just got the rezurrection dlc on PC since it was on sale. I was playing 6 since the ending of new map got me kinda hype for zombies...unfortunately. You're not missing anything integral. If there's a jrpg that's worth selling people on it's going to be Dark Cloud, Shadow Hearts, Wizardry Alternative or Valkyrie Profile or something, not Disgaea.
It's not a game I'm regretting playing, though. There's a lot of knowledge gates that speed up progression that fans are happy to let you know about, it has a lot of fun with its own premise, and it's from an era where balance wasn't a priority so it's fun to watch your mages nuke the field in one turn while the archery class dies forgotten where it belongs. It's a game of extremes that's best played a bit at a time with something up on another screen.
Definitely has that "moorish" quality most srpgs do where you're just one more battle or item world trip from achieving another bunch of goals.

Monster Hunter Freedom is basically the Ultimate version of the generation 1 games (Monster Hunter, Monster Hunter G), while Freedom Unite is the Ultimate version of generation 2 (Dos, Freedom 2). There's no Longsword or Gunlance, no armor slots and decos, and the roster is quite a bit smaller. If you play FU you probably experience 90% of what Freedom 1 has to offer, but I'm really liking it anyways. The box space is a lot smaller and money is really tight so you have to really be stingy with what you keep vs. sell, and every weapon/armor upgrade feels incredible to get since you really have to scrape and claw for each one.

I'm only starting to get into the Sakura Taisen series, so I'm really not an expert in it. But from what I've seen of it, it's basically a reboot of the series following the nephew original protag of the first games in as he stays in New York. It's also has the atmosphere of a 2000s anime, with a lot of the typical silly tropes that come with it.


A lot of the mechanics like the dating sim aspects and the strategy RPG combat are streamlined, but not so much that if you played another Sakura Taisen game, it would play completely differently. It's tailored towards newcomers more than anything which makes sense since this was the first game in the series to be made after Sega went 3rd party.

The best way to put it is that older Sakura Taisen fans would be somewhat disappointed in it since it's a lot simpler and rather tangential to the stories of the previous games but newer fans would like it a lot more since it serves as a great introduction to the series. If you've been playing them since forever, play this while keeping in mind that it's a bit of a simpler experience. Otherwise, I think it does it's job of introducing new fans to the series well. The girls are cute and the story and setting (while not as intricate as the older games') still is vibrant and the gameplay is fun.

If you have the time, I'd check it out. If for anything else, just for Gemini.

but yes, it's fun. I think the main story is pretty interesting, and even if you don't go for that, there's plenty of side quests to do, stats to work on, and things to get distracted by.

No, not really. Youtube 3D tutorials fall into one of 3 categories:
1) Synty asset-bashed hyper-decimated unusable dogshit that looks bad, performs worse and teaches you nothing because "hey use this template for free from my patreon :)"
2) Super process-modifier heavy rendered scenes that wouldn't export anywhere but another Blender tab
3) Unity Roblox kids who move like 4 vertices on a basic cube, slap on 50 pre-made PSX Horror Demo Disc shaders and call it a day

I went through Crashune Academy to pick up the basics, which is "how to rip off Roll's MML topology" and not much else, which is a simple start if you're just looking but it's pretty obvious there's gaping holes in his knowledge and he only makes stuff for blender so exporting is a whole other skill. Like even in the playlist his UV mapping is a trainwreck, lol (On Mars 3D's video on UV maps was good). But it's easy enough to follow and there's not too many upsells.
The only worthwhile environmental video I've found was SicklyWizard's vertex shading and trimsheet vids.

I'm not really any closer to my goal of PS2 era work, that cusp of pre-retopo-centric sculpting character/environmental quality, that just feels like lost knowledge at this point, like nobody knows how to do advanced REmake-quality modelling anymore. My search continues.

It's not really a bug, it's just kinda bad design on the game's part. High difficulties reduce damage negation for everyone. Lower difficulties increase it for everyone.
So the game is slightly harder on lower difficulties because you get less bullets left over and you can one-tap everything with headshots on Master. So everyone just says play on Master.

The catholic church recommends, if you are reading it for the first time, to just read Luke before anything. You get a feel of what christianity is about (i.e. Jesus teachings) and with that in mind, you can have a perspective on the old testamente like a slow build up to the gospell. . You can get a bunch of call forwards to stuff from the gospel. That's what they recommend, and i support it to some degree, but you are free to read it as you like, it's a book at the end of the day.

Just played a round of Chivalry 2 and a few days in Fields of Mistria. Battlefield 6's beta. Its decent fun, its not going to replace BF4 or Bad Company 2 for me but I'm liking it more than I expected. Not perfect, there's no way to disable haptic triggers on PS5, BF of course naturally plays better on PC than with a controller, and the maps are smaller in a way I'm curious about. Is it just to compensate for the greater destruction and level of detail like Bad Company 2?
Also finished up another playthrough of Alan Wake 2 and I still like it quite a bit. The Night Springs DLC though was very forgettable though, going to try to see if Lake House is any better before tackling another game on my backlog.

Honestly it's probably one of the more easier Yakuza games to platinum. The last 2 trophies are a bitch because it's a boring ass grind to Lvl 99 + Job lvl 90+ but outside of that all the other shit was trivial and easy. The only hard trophy is the Honk Honk Hero bullshit and that's only because it was based on RNG bullshit on whether or not they spawn in. Outside of that 95% of the trophies are cake walk.

Honestly? Nah lol but I'm already this close to getting the platinum so I figure why not. It's funny because I still have to play through the Persona and Yakuza series. I still need to purchase Yakuza 6 though but outside of that I have most of the games I just need to stop procrastinating but I seriously doubt I'll 100% or plat any of the other games in the series, especially the ones that rely heavily on mini game bullshit.

Clash: Artifacts Of Chaos. It looks amazing with the weird artstyle and world I loved in Zeno Clash. The combat is very fun. It's got some Souls-y elements in, with campfire checkpoints and constantly opening up shortcuts and returning to it, and I feel I'd rather just be able to quicksave instead. There's also a system where if you're knocked out you can revive yourself if you get back to where you were with enemies respawned. Or you could just pause and restart from checkpoint, which is basically the same thing.

Might play that PS2 Sopranos game just out of curiosity.

You should the pretty derby seasons are all good and you should watch those first but Cinderella Grey is just a step above the pretty derby seasons in production value and pacing of the story, it feels very much like a western sports movie in anime form

Khazan is great, if you're into cartoonish graphics and souls-likes you'll have a good time. Dead Island 2 is meh, i just play it because i paid for it.

If it releases in a stable condition and has bigger maps than what we've seen so far, I could see myself putting down money for it.
All the maps I've played so far have been alright design wise, but way too small for what I usually expect in a BF game. Gunplay feels pretty good but I'd like TTK to be a little longer

I have watched seasons 1 and 2. I would recommend them. The animation can vary in quality, but the show always gets me to tear up.
