I played like 3 matches and uninstalled. No way I'm paying for this. It's the culmination of everything wrong with multiplayer shooters now and they want 90 dollars for the base edition. Get fucked. I get about 20 to 80 hours out of even the best Battlefields, except BF2 & BC2. I'm about at 60 hours with this one and hit the wall. Conquest gets boring. Forced crossplay on PC sucks because console players with smgs win every fight under 30 meters due to their built in aim bots.

I have 24h of gameplay, very positive KDA ratio every match, yet I still get matched with low level retards that run the tank straight into the point to get blown up in 2 seconds. Or they shimmy to and fro constantly whenever a rocket hits them for 15% of the tank HP even though there's engineers repairing. That and the game modes and claustrophobic maps suck ass. Player movement is too zoomey as well.

Getting the revive challenge is taking forever. Everyone just hits respawn instantly and burns a ticket even as I'm sprinting to them spamming the incoming button

Not really. I started BF with 2 and what I always liked about this series is the big maps allowing a variety of gameplay. If I felt like chilling and sniping all day, I could do that. If I wanted to run and gun, I go to a highly contested area. Maybe I just want to hold a point all day with lgms or play stealthy and cap points only, rotate the whole map.

In BF6 every match feels the exact same. Pure chaos.

I think this happened to me. I’m consistently near the top of my team in whatever lobby, but my team is virtually always half total dogshit players and consistently loses, and I think the game sees that and goes “heh this guys not shit let’s continue put him with the awful players who suck dick and maybe he will help them out!” Almost like a reverse SBMM. Honestly I think such a large scale open beta was a big mistake on their part. People (like me) who would have considered buying it on release likely won't now, and not because the game is bad - but because it's FINE. There's nothing remarkable here, it's just BF3/4 again a decade later. The gaming landscape has changed so much that this just doesn't cut it anymore. I put about 10 hours into it over the past two weekends and I feel like I've experienced everything.

Extra weapons and maps don't mean shit when your core game is the same as it has been the past two decades almost, and it's just not as outstanding as it used to be. See also Bethesda titles

I never got to play it once without crashing. So I'm very mad, I'm extremely angry. I played pic rel all night to make sure it's not my graphics card that is messed up, as in maxing out all the settings/plus 4k textures. And considering this is probably one of the hardest games to run on the market, there's no excuses why BF6 wasn't working on my machine. Absolutely none, yet i couldn't play it. I really love Siene Crossing and consider it the perfect example of how to do urban city combat with vehicles. Having multi-level buildings is perfect counter to street vehicles. As powerful as a tank or IFV can be, you can be countered hard by infantry hiding in buildings or even in the streets. Really well thought out level.

I think it's mediocre, especially due to unsatisfying gunplay. The recoil is too damn high, and good luck hitting anything without bringing up the sights.

I’m using the m4 starting assault rifle and removed the shotgun so I have more ammo but other than that? Also is tdm a boomer thing? What the new meta?

This is gong to be a very controversial opinion but jets don't belong in battlefield. As fun as they are, it requires the map to be HUGE just to accommodate them and so balancing them is very difficult considering that. Helicopters are more fitting since they don't need as much airspace as jets do. BF2142 is an exception because the gunships were a cross between jets and helicopters and you had titans that also countered them.

Having jets fly around in such tiny maps is so awkward and map design suffers because you have to also make it big enough for jets to fly in.

The ak205 is a fucking laser. Pick everything that has reduced recoil somewhere on it and grab the bullets that up the headshot dmg multiplier.

Other option is recon with an ar/carbine and abuse the fuck out of the autospot. It really helps my old eyes pick out shit I'd normally miss.

Oasis from BC1 and BC2 is so criminally underrated. It had tanks, IFVs and attack helicopters, yet felt so perfectly balanced. Map had rocket launcher emplacement and AA emplacement for infantry

You have never actually played a Battlefield title, have you? Airspace can be made arbitarily large without increasing the playable ground level. There are three types of tiny maps for air vehicles in Battlefield game:

The problem of nu/battlefield: it only ever opts for extremes. Hell, it took DICE +2yrs to make maps in 2042 halfway playable (however physics is still broken, so you just bounce off of objects, so the use of tight cover doesn't require skill).

I had a blast first weekend beta, this weekend beta is a different story. It’s apparent now that the chronus zen and other aim abuse devices work like damn near aimbot in bf6, when people use it against you it’s almost impossible to get consistent hits on them. And they just snap instantly onto you, they literally just run through snapping onto anyone in there line of sight. Not worth playing for people like me who don’t use that crap and just want to play and win conquest, you have to play like a level 10 sweat to go like 24-7 and win a conquest and the aim abusers still laser you constantly. I won’t be buying the full release, fast paced fps is destroyed because of aim abusers.

I'm a little conflicted. The last BF I played was 3 and I like it overall. Obviously a ton of balance changes are needed to make 2/3 of the guns usable. Engineer repair literally makes vehicles unkillable if you have less than 3 people consistently hitting RPGs/tank rounds, even with the engineers repair debuff. The stinger is completely useless, if a jet knows to dip out for a few seconds to wait for his flares to recharge, he simply won't die to AA missiles.
On the upside the aim assist isn't as bad as I thought it would be, I almost always won 1v1 fights when I just had a straight up better reaction time, and I didn't feel like the assist was helping other people too much.
The game is absolutely saturated with hackers though so I uninstalled.

Currently playing on console as a PC player. RPGS suck. I've point blank shot people and followed up with a few rounds from my rifle and they still don't die. Gunplay feels tight. Very little recoil though, which might be a controller aim assist thing. Speaking of which, controller sucks, embarrassingly its making me a little nauseous to use one with the super stiff camera movement. Also sounds like they're still using the Russian accented dude as the announcer from the Metro games, who I'm also pretty sure is used in the COD and maybe even also 2042. Weird.

Yes but the remaining maps better be at least 10x the size of these things. Brooklyn is unplayably small. Other than the OUTRAGEOUSLY small (for battlefield) maps everything feels great and I'm pretty excited for the full game. Gonna use the discount exploit to get it for 60 from Steam if my feelings don't sour by the time the beta is over.
I would also strongly prefer for weapons to be locked so there can be some semblance of balance and people have a reason to play a different class, but I've pretty much resigned myself to that being impossible. I would also strongly prefer a server browser. I will be a whale and spend in a cash shop if there is a server browser. If there isn't, all you get from me is price of admission.
