nta, i believe that's alternate timeline saber from camelot in fgo. camelot ironically being the first bit of fgo that isn't complete dogshit. but it's been years since i read it and i forgot most of it.

there's also an alter version of her you encounter even earlier but nobody cares about that one because she's from part of the story that was trash.

i would recommend the fgo ovas since they just cover the good parts of main story 1, but they're released out of order for some reason. you'd want to do prologue > camelot > babylon > solomon.

Official translation of Mahoyo is OK. It's definitely readable but there are some small mistakes here and there since they outsourced the translation to an SEA studio (Singapore iirc)
Haven't re-read the new F/SN or F/HA translations yet so I can't judge those.
Also know that Mahoyo is a single-route novel like HA and it's kinda short too.

Easily my easiest radar to detect secondaries and newfags is when they shit on Deen's FSN.
Deen anime captures the essence of urban fantasy, ufotable is shitty action shonen with cgi dbz fights.

It's alright, the problem is the shit from the other routes that they tried to shoehorn in and how it completely fucks up the pacing. If it were just a straight adaptation of the Fate route it would've been considerably better. Also the OST is god tier and miles ahead of the Ufotable stuff.

The reason they shoehorned some stuff is because Deen realized quickly it's basically impossible to adapt a single 30 hour route from a 100h game and keep a coherent anime narrative.
They decided to give some semblance of development to every character, I can't deny they fell short for much of it but at least Deen's anime feels like a complete story.
Meanwhile in Ufotable's HF everyone who isn't shirou and wormwhore has 10 lines at most, they aren't even character just story props. Obviously I get they woudn't readapt things they've already done before but it makes the movie trilogy feels like a dogshit addon to the VN and at this point, you're better off watching the fights on youtube, genuinely it is how they intended it to be.
