Nier Automata is a timeless modern masterpiece, enjoyed only by people who actually love video games.
Fun, varied gameplay celebrates the history of vidya, the art-directing and OST are drop dead gorgeous, and the writing + subtext are honestly very captivating, profound, and relevant once again.

as a EXP33 fanboy, i have to say i've been listening to a few OST's from the same composer for a while and it rocks, and i've only beaten it once and did the first ending or something.

People like edgy games that pretend to be intellectually profound by being nonsensical or vague. That also goes for edgy music, as well. That's why you also hear retarded things from /v/ and reddit npcs about how souls games have an incredible story.

E33 will be on switch 2 as well the devs are nintendo fans, it's just the usual jew seething about nintendo in completely unrelated threads

I think it's ok less people know about gestalt/replicant. Those threads are usually pretty good, meanwhile automata is cursed by its popularity to never have a civil thread again.

Everyone online says the game is really good but when I played it was fucking garbage, my copy must be bugged or something. I would refund it and try another version but I already passed 2 hours.

The story is total shit unless you know the backstory from a bunch of external content, and even if you do it's paced incredibly poorly. If you don't enjoy slashing through machines now, you aren't gonna like it any more later.

i dropped the game when i stumbled into a town of NPC's that were not even voice acted giving me quests to pick up 10 flowers by killing generic enemies that used to be lvl 2 but are now lvl 10, didn't even bother to give them a reskin.
What a shit game

That really is generous.
The game is hard-carried by its art style, character designs, and bgm. The actual "game" part is the very definition of mediocre jank.
