The way they executed Jon's departure was very extreme and abrupt, iirc the first episode with Dan came out the same day as the goodbye video, which is fucked.

I watched a couple videos about this drama and still don't understand it. He didn't steal the money. Very little of it ended up going to administrative costs. He didn't invest the money trying to pocket the interest before anyone noticed. Nothing. It just sat there for years getting inflated away. What was he even doing? He still had a way out until his response where he just threatened to sue people instead of explaining what the deal was. His father and brother sound like grifter scumbags so I feel like there's an untold story here of them fighting over the money but he wasn't willing to publicly throw them under the bus and sacrificed his career to preserve their relationship.
