if you had the chance between living in the UK or swimming across the ocean to maybe find a land that is not the UK, would you do it? millions of people would rather die than live in the UK. Same logic here:
millions of people would rather die than live in some authoritarian shithole where reproduction is impossible, government only wants you to work, no entertaining... no TV license ... honestly.... the combine is not that bad compared to the UK, but still, people would rather die than live in it.
Just think of the combine as the UK government and it all makes sense. Just imagine a Gordon Freeman awakening right now in London and fighting for rights, you would join him, would you not?
