I'm a fucking Yugi Boomer who keeps building anime decks, and even I can barely find any decks to play.
They banned fucking Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Not just the deck, but the fucking normal monster itself.
I fucking hate it.

How can a game company keep doing things people hate over and over and not listening to their fans while getting away with it every time?

Most games companies do nothing but things people don't like, and yet you and others are still paying, and you won't stop, and they won't stop serving you things you hate because it's profitable. They openly talk about not needing to worry about things being good in shareholders meetings, most of which are publicly reported. We are long past games needing to be good to make money.
