I like Pathfinder 2e. Which is another thing. The ruleset this game is based on isn't even used anymore. It's a bad donut steel version of 3.5e, and has already been replaced by a superior system. All pathfinder games going forward will be in 2e, so you'll actually have to play a video game. This is my one hope of this genre being redeemed, it will split into two paths:

Most of it was spent on rerolling characters, something I tend to do a lot in CRPGs. Exploring the "options", if you will. That's how I came to the conclusions that there are none in owlcat's pathfinder, everything plays the exact fucking same.

The different paths are cool but the combat ultimately boils down to the same thing every time, which is unfortunate. This kind of branching storytelling in a better game would be amazing. Instead you're basically gambling to see if you get a cool one (Aeon, Angel) or a shit one (Azata, Lich). Also the ones with the most potential happen so late they barely matter anyway, and two of them are also shit.

The single most retarded encounter // difficulty design I've ever seen where buffing sessions are necessary before any fight causing every combat encounter to be tedious and every team comp to be the same honestly, art and theming wise the game is awesome
