you pay real world money for fake money which you use to gamble for ingame unlockables, then you powercreep the fuck out of those unlockables over time to people are incentivized to keep paying and gambling, overall game balance be damned

at the start of every fight your character automatically gets respecced and each turn you gain a level up to your maximum level. the enemies also start at 1 and level up this way

You gather corpses and use them as currency, bulding blocks and weapons. You can drag many corpses behind you but they will slow you down but also make you more powerful in combat.

You leave afterimages as you attack enemies, but your attacks are limited so you have to lure enemies around afterward to get hit by your afterimages
