Released to no fanfare, got given away on PS+ to try and get some more players, and then slowly went EoS. The game itself wasn't as good as Splatoon and most people were indifferent to it even if they regularly played it. I never saw anyone really speak well of it at all and then they started showcasing how expensive some of the DLC packs were and it was nuts.

They tried to sell it as a full priced game because they saw Splatoon doing it, then they tried to go free to play when it was obvious that was never going to happen, and then they just cut their losses, because the money it would cost to try and drum up interest wasn't in the budget since FFXVI crashed and burned 6 months earlier, and 5 months later Dawntrail would kill SE's cash cow.

It launched as a free PS+ game and most people simply never played it because it looked like mediocre derivative tripe.
They stopped updating it after a year but it's still playable. It went free to play a few months before that.

Because it's not an interesting flop. /v/ likes flops if they're either big or dramatic. This was a game that everyone saw flopping from 10 miles away, then it flopped. It's a multiplayer shooter aping existing successful stuff with a cash shop and that's it. Nothing to say about it.

Concord was notable because it's a major Sony first party IP (or something they were pushing as such) famous for having had a long and expensive development.

It's literally one of the most fun games I've ever played. Sure, it had bugs and glitches, but nothing a patch couldn't fix. I hope they keep losing their hair, getting fat, and dying alone like the tendies. Both groups deserve it.
