Not that anon but I think it's a bad game because it has a boring introduction, then picks the fuck up when Fox becomes playable, then it gets mediocre after Snow Point temple. It feels like it would've been great if they gave it another year of dev time, but the game's wasted potential is too big to ignore. You don't even get to fight general scales at the end. The Andross boss battle that came after was the only good use of the Arwing in the entire game.

Dinosaur Planet, Kameo: Elements of Power, Perfect Dark, and Jet Force Gemini have to be the best games ever made.

Most games we shat on back then were because everyone had high standards and higher education. Thus an average game was seen as a shit game for not meeting higher standards. Comparing the average/mediocre game of back then makes them look like a masterpiece among the sea of dogshit today. Star Fox adventure is a fine game but it could have been better at that time. If you asked me "could it be better?" Today I would tell you knos that's the best they got.

You're not wrong in terms of your sentiment, but this game was a stinker back and it's a stinker today. Windwaker came out the same year and is better in every way in terms of a gamecube zelda-style adventure game. This is a Sonic Team quality game at best. People want to moan and groan and are fatigued by modern generic games, but if I'm honest most of these kinds of games that get so much hate are better than bad games from back then. I'd 100% rather play Ass Creed 3 than replay Star Fox Adventures hell I'd probably even take Bioshock Infinite over it. There's just so little joy to be had playing this game and it really shows when a game considered as subpar as Star Fox Assault still manages to blow this game completely out of the water. Scales getting cutscene'd and making you fight Andross was probably one of the most insulting bait and switches I've ever seen.

It's not recycled, retard. It got SF reskin during development to make it sell more. And it worked.

My issue is that they removed many gameplay/plot elements from the original, probably to make it focus to Fox Mc Cloud. Also since it was made a little before Rare being bought by Microsoft it shows that the game has potentials but it was rushed made to get released on time.

Not a bad game but it could be much better and it's a wasted potential. Still I enjoyed it despite its issues. And it's one of the most beautiful looking games of its generation.
