LaCroix is such a good villain. I think about him frequently because he's a genuine good character on top of his route capturing the master/servant relationship he fostered with the player beautifully.

keep in mind I'm not saying a master / servant relationship is a good thing, but the whole dialog with the player trying to convince the man who tried to have them killed that it was a misunderstanding is pure peak pathetic, but really poetic in a surviving epic kind of way. Like LaCroix's power is only actually cemented when someone is actually there to trust him explicitly.
he's also a pretty good employer. I really like LaCroix
