I think all the mechanics being utilized with decent level design makes Shadow Warrior great at times. if not the best in the build trilogy. But at times, the level design is just ass. there's just these stretches of empty areas or instant unforeseeable deaths in later levels that fucking make them insufferable to play with katana/shuriken starts. the art direction is also garbage, and the asian aesthetic is lame and irritating.

You didn't notice it because only the Pig cops, Battlelords, Tanks and Enforcers are hitscan.
Pig cops you don't see more than 2 at a time and they are big, have a delay before shooting and use a shotgun that does much less at distance
Enforcers first appear in the second episode and never more than 2-3 at once.
Battlelords are bosses and telegraph their attacks, always having cover when fighting them.

Blood was designed to be a fast paced john woo kind of movie where you dash around a corner and get peppered with bullets to make you dive behind cover and throw a dynamite around.

Play on Lightly Broiled, noone will judge you for it, pussy.

The more annoying part of Blood on lightly broiled is that it may even force you into save scumming sometimes. And that's because it's really difficult and there's so many instances of where some random dynamite throw will just fuck you over completely. Generally i try to finish a mission without resorting to saving in a level, that's my barrier for whether a game is kicking my ass or not, that i don't rely on reloading if i get killed. I had a rule with other old school fps games that if i get killed in a level, then it's back to the start. But i ended up adopting a new rule with Blood. The middle of the road difficulty is still hard.

literally the entire "boomer shooter" "genre," but especially this pile. Oh boy oh boy, having a seizure trying to keep up with one of 3 exciting enemy types while it spazzes around you at the speed of sound is incredibly engaging gameplay that I can't wait to tell my life partner about! I really like gun 3 and gun 4, but guns 1, 2, and 5 aren't so interesting. Fortunately I can just use whatever I want since the dev never figured out how to implement an ammo system!

I played a bit of Blood 2 and it genuinely wasn't like, awful. It seemed pretty okay from the bit I played. I may go back and finish it. It's still nowhere near as good as Blood 1 however

to answer the OP, it's hard to say I really hate a game a ton that everyone loves; I'm usually pretty indifferent. I guess if I had to pick one, it'd be MVC2. It's so fucking ugly and I've never been a fan of tag team fighting, even when KOF did it.

I've realized that I don't really like boomershooters as much as I like the novelty of a compact level based game, going from levelstart to the endgoal in one run, no checkpoints or padding. the cuhrazy shooting action is fine but I'd just as well have it play like anything else that could support action-adventure conventions.

Also Blood is great, it's got great atmosphere and is super comfy to play. It's not without its flaws but I highly enjoyed it
