I could see a reason to choose Expacs, non-linear games, and orchestral music. Expansion packs take away dev time that could go to making a sequel. Some people really like linear games. Orchestral music was everywhere in the 2010s and people were getting sick of it.

I would say that gacha is actually the preferable ban since that's the majority of MTX in games (if you count lootboxes as gacha, which they are). You would still have a bit of MTX left in games, but you'd have 2 extra points to use so you could nab something else.
