There's been dlc since then so I wonder if they fixed it. That mission seriously ruined any chance of me replaying it. As fun as I had with the rest of it, that one mission makes it never worth it to pick up again.

A game only becomes 'that part' is if it makes you stuck on a mission or questline with no way to progress because the design is so fucked up and is unnecessarily hard to the point of feeling unfair/artificially difficult. Involves lots of trial and error in which you feel no accomplishment towards the end of it and it feels like everything is based on luck rather than skill. It can involve a game just being hard to the point of torture. But you don't know about what THAT PART was if you didn't play games in 5th and 6th console gens respectively in my opinion. There can be other stipulations for it, and i would say it's forced QTE sections. The biggest offender of THAT PART in video games is usually escort missions, poorly designed mini games and so on. It can be Big Smoke telling CJ all he had to do was the follow the damn train.

That being said what is the worst examples i can think of? sewer escort mission in Jak 2 is at the number one place for me. And this one railcart mini game from the Harry Potter PS1 game is a favorite example for me. Rage inducing shit.

This game is like full of so many THAT PARTs. That the whole game was tarnished over it. A good example of all of the worst sorts of design coming together all at once. In truth, this game has like all the design of mistakes of those good games that all had 'those parts', but then wrapped it all up into a neat package and made it the entirety of the product.

Yeah, and if you failed at the last race, you had to redo all 3 races again, i remember one time when the stupid ruberband cheating A.I passed me on the last turn in the last race of a URL, i alt+f4 and didn't played it for like a week.
I wish there was a mod to remove at least 80% URLs and remove the ruberband, it become so bad at jackson heights it's almost comical.
