persona 5 feels tryhard. i don't mean that in a negative way or an Angry Gamer way, it just feels like it lacks the relatable low-stakes stuff that persona 4 had. which i feel is a result of the big-city setting rather than a hollowed-out, middle-of-nowhere dying shithole. brewing coffee doesn't resonate with me on the same level as hanging out in the chain store food court not because it's trendy, but because there's nowhere else
