Are you sure? You are the one that assumed first not only that I meant climb out of the lagoon layer, when I clearly stated he could climb the walls up in the cave in with odd rock. But second, you assume that an underground layer has a horizon and not any kind of walls he can climb up back to the cave.

Your problem for misunderstanding when I never said otherwise.
I don't know the levels of retardation in your head. I know that the developers have put invisible walls in place that hinder the player from sequence breaking or reaching certain areas otherwise.
I mentioned early specifically what the game implied, that he has the capabilities to break most (not all) materials in that particular environment, and that it did break immersion for him to not have a way back up other than the plot it served to continue going down.
