Custom map makers under blizzard knew that they weren't entitled to anything. And people would copy, clone, and modify anything and everything all the time. The entire AoS genre was born like this, and without this shameless practise of taking and modifying whatever you wanted, neither DotA nor LoL would have even been born.

Fast forward to today and people are selling fanart of other people's properties on patreons and raking in big bucks.

When i played Oblivion, the only bug that needed fixing was the one in Dark Borotherhood questline where you need to kill the former guard captain with a special arrow. From what I've heard the way it works is there's a package on them that says go to a position and assume a pose and never move. They are supposed to start already in the correct position. If there's a delay before that package runs, because your game is under heavy load, then they have a chance to walk away a bit. For AI instructions to go to a position they're not actually required to go EXACTLY to that position. Just close enough to it. So the AI considers itself in position and runs its pose animation even though it's a little off. Also, I've heard that immobile flag is used purely for the physics engine and doesn't actually prevent things from moving at all. It just prevents the physics engine from moving them.

I will admit that I am a TES secondary and by that I have never beaten the games unmodded (you didn't beat the game if you used anything other than bugfixes/stability, arguably that is part of the challenge too) and never cared for the base story and content past Morrowind and just liked doing fan quests and messing around with magic. But as someone who never paid attention to Fallout (I am just not interested in the setting) I always thought the complaints about Bethesda being lazy and incompetent just couldn't be true. "Making games is hard" and "I am not a programmer myself" and all that. But it really seems like they just got lucky as hell inheriting good settings by the original creators of TES and Fallout and had a winning formula no one else bothers to actually copy (the only thing that gets copied is the "open world" but not the varied play styles and insane level of intractability with moddability on top that actually makes their games popular).

They made a sci-fi game that gets the hard science and even basic logic completely wrong. And it doesn't have any aliens or magic either. It's so painfully uninspired and it's hard proof they actually lean onto the modding community to make their games good for them. "The more you give Starfield the more it gives back" actually makes my skin crawl.

There is a quest in Falkreath that I can't remember the name of where you meet someone and give them a potion and clear out a cave for there. After doing so, when you return to town you cannot talk to them. The solution is you need to find and solve the quest before you turn it in instead of getting the quest handed to you by the NPC who normally gives you the quest. And my last save was after I already accepted it. This quest is also part of a chain where you need to help several people to become thane of Falkreath. And becoming thane of every hold is itself part of a bigger quest chain. So from being softlocked out of this one simple quest from making the mistake of "you should've done it before taking it" I was locked out of an entire chain of quest permanently for a playthrough of a 100+ hour game.

When trying to look it up so I could give you the exact name of the quest I found other results people asking about other game breaking issues as well such as HIrcine not appearing or allow you to talk to him in the Falkreath werewolf quest.

this is an amazing video. i brought it back with me from when i went to china my cousin gave it to me. it is actually a russian video of a russian guy who has the ability to sing like a girl. if u think its so easy and u are a guy who has hitpubirty watch this video and try and hit a note that high. this guy is great. i have become his #1 fan lol.
