They're using the WOTL script for their "original" mode (lol). The new mode will use an entirely new translation

apparently it was rewritten so that dialogue would flow better when voice acted.
at least, that's the official story. if the english script is just as fucked up as the WoTL translation the voice actors are going to sound fucking stupid so i hope they find middle ground.
the rewrites were apparently done by matsuno himself but i don't trust him anymore after his contributions to FFXIV sucked.
