I always attribute it to Sylvanas. She's the closest thing they have to a hero, who died defending Silvermoon (the same event that created the Blood Elves as an identity). Plus, the Forsaken control of Lordaeron equates to historic factors (the Forsaken are the remnants of Lordaeron, who were allies with Quel'Thalas) and geographic convenience.

The only other alternative would be for a third faction to be made, but WoW is stuck in the two-faction model.

The latest patch has been really fun and they keep making improvements to the game.

But whoever designed delves should be fired. Every mob hits too hard and every cast deals at least a third of your health. It's not "solo content" when you have to kite everything so it never touched you in the first place. Also heroic gear is locked behind a rep grind when dungeons and raids are much simpler.

The latest patch is so lazy reusing Tazavesh as a major part of the 'new' zone. The rest of it is bland floating islands and all the mobs are HD versions of Netherstorm mobs. Phase diving is pointless. There's one (1) new delve and it's a fucking old instance from Dragonflight reworked with minimal effort by the devs.

Also the performance of the game is abysmal, the engine is so outdated now and they refuse to improve it. The frame rate in K'aresh is unacceptable.

A few new delves.
A few new talents.
A few new half-assed profession things, plus the introduction of something like "woodworking" to go with creating furniture for housing.
4 leveling dungeons, 4 max level dungeons, 3-4 reused dungeons for M+.
1 new raid.
Housing.
Addon changes that disables things like DBM/BigWigs and WeakAuras.

That's probably about it for the expansion features. The story will obviously just be more of the same pozzed garbage with Disney/Marvel-tier writing, characters, dialogue and quips.

No requirement to have weakauras for any reason. DBM being required to complete lots of raid encounters is insane and should have been stopped years ago. DPS meter will be inbuilt in the client.

That isn't simplifying gameplay, they're just making it so external addons aren't needed to function in large parts of the game, so it becomes portable enough to move to console and maybe phones.
