I think the writing is good. The only thing I didn't like is the god awful pacing and the main characters being one note charicatures after their intro arcs but P4 also suffered from that.

The game is popular with reddit, resetera, and twitter users. Therefore everything about it is automatically bad.

The game is poorly paced, the villains past Kamoshida are shit, Makoto is a dumb person's idea of a smart character, Futaba is a mary sue, Haru is a literally who, the last minute god is an asspull, confidant character development has zero impact on the story, Ryuji and Ann turn into idiots, the fight between Ryuji and Morgana was dumb, and the twist was terribly written on multiple levels.
(yes some of these are also problems in 3/4)

You don't think the game is bad because of its writing, you think it's bad because you have brain damage and can't pay attention.
