Mages are "CC" Crowd Control, they slow enemies generally as frost spec in classic wow, that's cone of cold, blizzard, frostbolt, it slows the movement speed of enemies, letting people outrun their attack range.

Other than that, mages cast polymorph which is "sheeping" enemies which makes them harmless for up to 30 seconds.

There is no "Hero" class in wow, healers heal, warlocks have soulstones which is a 1 time resurrection, no idea if that even applies to the hardcore servers, tanks can draw aggro, most classes all have -some- form of CC which allows them to be a "hero".

So basically, I don't know what the argument even was in the situation he was in, but if he didn't use and CC when he was safe to do so, that's a valid reason to blame him.
