The Last Guardian
This game deserves more love then it got. It didn't deserve to be forgotten.

>unpatched version has an uncapped framerate
>but it has gamebreaking bugs
>patched version is 30fps
>sony won't just spend the day it takes to put out a ps5 patch that removes the fps cap
woe

the ai is nightmare, something that should take 5 minutes takes over an hour because toriko won't do what he should.

Very fucking realistic animal behavior if you ask me

>spent a whole fucking decade blueballing your fanbase
>everyone was convinced the game was never coming out
>it actually does come out
>its mid and was forgotten two weeks later

But enough about Dragons Dogma

I never had that much of an issue. Everyone I saw play it that had this problem were spamming the call button.
Intentional or not, animals have trouble learning when you keep yelling the same command repeatedly. You need to make clear what you are saying and wait before trying again.

iirc you had to actually train him and feed him shit when he does stuff for you

I remember it being rather boring. Sure it has the magic feeling that his games has but gameplay was kind of shit.
I never liked ICO too desu but SotC is great.

I didn't play it until a few years ago, I'm kinda glad noone liked it because I think that reveal about the barrels would've been more widespread and now I'll never forget seeing it

Wasn't worth the wait.

Reminder that you can now emulate The Last Guardian with a much improved framerate and runs beautifully with any semi modern system

I don't think any of us forgot it, it just stayed in development for so long we were all expecting a masterpiece then it was completely mediocre.

I stopped playing it because the AI was fucking shit and frustrating to play with.
And don't give me "well it's supposed to be bad it's realistic like a real animal companion!" shit I don't wanna play an unfun game where that doesn't control how I want.

Isn't that the one that pewdiepie cried at the ending?
Anonymous No.718255538 [Report]
Like duke nukem forever and that one Rare game it was a giant meme because it was in development hell, of course once it actually came out it was shit and quickly forgotten

No, you can't, that's illegal.

It was the last of its kind, being from the original Team ICO team during the ps3 era. With all of them disbanded long ago, I can’t help but feel sad of what could have been if the last guardian wasn’t such a shitshow in its development cycle to allow them to grow and make more unique games in the modern day.

The "solution" to most puzzles is literally just waiting for the catbird to do something. The AI animal training shit is an illusion

The rumble in this game is so aggressive it actually broke the rumblers in my PS4 controller.

I have no idea why the game had no option to turn off the rumble. Pretty ridiculous

Trico is the most realistic moving and animated animal I have ever seen in a game and I didn't experience any of the annoying getting stuck problems many people seem to talk about.

Also the music was great.

There was more aspects to the puzzles where there is need to take in the surroundings like putting the wheel against the door to keep it open for Trico but yeah, the overall puzzles were very surface level and understandable after a few seconds/minutes. I still enjoy it and I did form an attachment to the AI puppy to the point I felt bad if I accidently through the barrel at his face when feeding him.

Been monitoring the emulation progress regularly.
It's getting there.

Same. I think some people were just spamming commands not realizing you have to let the dog do its own thing sometimes

Wtf this game actually came out? Mandela effect. In my universe it got cancelled and was never released. In this one even PewDiePie covered it.
