Unreal engine 5 just needs another hardware gen bump up thrown at it and it will be fine. Being I still play at 1080p and pull 225+ FPS in UE5 stuff. So you figure +1 more Gen and people will get that at 2k/4k. Once frame rates go up people will stop bitching
but the simple truth is most devs can't afford to build an engine from scratch. UE5 being open to everyone gets you more help, more assets and way less dev cost. Only reason people bitch is it runs like ass on weak and older systems..
but look at say voidbreaker on the way soon. Solo dev. He can't build an engine from scratch to do this stuff. At least not in a realistic time table and solo. You might not like that style of game. That's not the point. It's more like how does it get made without UE5?
