WoW gameplay is entirely network related. Whoever has the better connection wins unless they're vastly undergeared.

it's pretty good, combat has a nice pace to it, killing things don't take too long but are also sticky enough that you feel the impact of your abilities and your stats progressing, you have to commit to pressing buttons too and they have nice friction
it's actually quite good I would say

I can't understand why the pvp is so disliked to the point where alterac valley is the only battleground used in classic. It seems like the only time in wow where the smallest difference in playstyle actually distinguishes you from the next player for better or worse. The pve aspect is what aged poorly.
