the announcement trailer is probably gonna be very good where they seem to be fixing literally everything. then you're gonna start playing the game and you realize you still have to slog through the long and tedious campaign with labyrinthian maps filled with dead ends and tons of backtracking, and you'll lose all interest before you even get to maps.

it's a weird thing with path of exile how awful their campaign always is, and what torture it has always been to get through it. meanwhile their end game content is the best in the industry, so it's this constant mental struggle where you know how fun you're gonna to have if you just bear with the torture of finishing the main story for 8-10 hours.

in contrast, i've been playing a ton of Project Diablo 2 lately, and i find myself leveling up new characters all the time in that game. i've almost beaten Hell with all classes on hardcore because i enjoy the leveling experience so much. It's a weird thing that.
