Hard Mode was great. Something the otherwise fantastic Paper Mario games really would have benefitted from. It's a shame the difficulty drops so sharply in the latter half of the game once you get good badges and stat ups

weird real life headcanon aside, yes a wide range of developers, small and large, have posted here before, and still frequent it even if it's way shittier and chaotic than its ever been. aside from the THQ interview, it's one of the few places to go for raw input from people that don't have to be afraid of speaking their mind incorrectly, unless it was extremely retarded.

The problem is once you reach the postgame content like the wave battles it becomes "If you don't pump Lief to the moon you die". The boss battles were fun and the basic battles were alright, but the postgame content sort of made me stop playing because it was just so tedious and so rigid in what I could do. I thought poison Vi was good enough but no, now I need to like give up turns to Lief so we can regen our points and spam full party attacks on repeat.

No, you're just bad. I buffed Leif less than the others and did fine. The game gives you so many tools to break it if you're paying attention

On Hard difficulty? Because I couldn't figure anything out besides that. Poison Vi doesn't work because she dies the instant they get a turn and you can't sustain it past however large your inventory is to start the poison in the first place. Kabbu taunting doesn't work because everything just kills him in a single turn and most of his attacks facilitate buffing. What other avenues do I have to go on? It seems like you're forced into deferring turns from Vi and Kabbu to Lief.

Imagine if the game's plot twist was that it took place in Chernobyl.
