1) Get a Playstation BIOS file (Preferably SCPH-7501) and an original US CTR dump image from somewhere (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vbAs2itnOWirBSMufclOlfvWf_yAhaMr/)
2) Download Launcher from https://www.online-ctr.com/ and follow instructions
3) Configure your controls (or click automatic mapping when it prompts you)
4) Pick a server and room (or make a private one using your IP)
5) Share the info and wait for anons to join
As simple as that!

1) Go to online
2) Wait while it loads
3) Matchmaking mode should probably connect anons together considering the online is not very active anymore, but if that doesn't work, players will need to add each other as friends in their platform of choice in order to make a Private Lobby
4) Wait a lot while it loads
5!) VERY IMPORTANT, since the game loads slightly better in newer consoles (PS5, Switch 2, Xbox X) it's –allegedly– inadvisable to skip the intro cutscene as it'll desync with other players and softlock the race lol

>The Karters
1) Go online, choose a server region
2) Choose "Make Room"
3) There should be a code on the main screen, share that including the region in which you are hosting
4) That's it
Custom tracks should be automatically downloaded as they are picked, but characters and karts won't, so in order to see other player's mods you'll need to subscribe to them on the workshop yourself

It might be because I played over 500 hours but I didn't have much trouble besting the dev times. Even some of my records were already better than their times before they got added in.

Both the mainstream side of vidya and the indie side have devolved so much that I don't even mind temu copies of good games anymore, I welcome them.
We went from arcade racers being oversaturated to the point even subgenres like wipeout/fzero clones were oversaturated to jack fucking shit, it's fucking grim.

I spent more time on menus and loading than playing the game, yes. Not exaggerating.

Sadly this is somewhat true. Due to the bad online and poor optimization you would play very little between sessions, even worse when, after waiting for the game to match you up with people, whoever was the "host" quit, the entire room would disband, this could also happen WHILE LOADING, so you basically waste your time for nothing.

It was best to play with added friends since, despite the loading, you were sure to play back to back races after each loading screen.

On the switch the game is legitimately more load times than racing.
This is not a goddamn joke, races usually take 2-3 minutes, loading screens can take 3-4.
It's not as bad on the deadbox or the kikestation but still rather bad.
In general the menus are also bloated and very intuitive but frankly you can cope and manage with that, there's no saving you from load times even on a fucking SSD.

Not by much because the bottleneck was always the filesizes more than the actual hardware.
Load times are slightly faster (2-3 minutes instead of 3-4) but it's still pretty bad.

Nitro Fueled is on gamepass and the loading times and lobby bugs are just as bad as they were on release lol
