I played Minecraft for the first time in fourth grade in late 2010 when I was 10. Iβm glad to be one of the few Alphachad zoomers. I remember burning the old pirated AnjoCaido client onto fucking CDs and giving them to my friends at lunchtime telling them they just had to play this cool new game I found.

I used to be a regular, played since 2011. If you have ever been on Alohaβs Babel server weβve almost certainly played together. I went on there yesterday afternoon and found 1 person on the build server and 1 person waiting to start a game of Babel. I know itβs an old game but Iβm shocked they havenβt done more to promote it.

when is it active? i played it maybe 2 years ago just to test if i could compile it from source and the babel server was pretty active. and now, i see only 4 people are on during the weekend
Never used Newgrounds when I was a kid but played Mausland games on other sites, my favorite being Castle Cat 3. Few weeks ago, I learned that he passed away in 2023 which shocked me

I remember during my senior year of highschool when they added diamonds to the game there was some freshmen actually crying in the library because he died with lots of diamonds on him.
He was the only kid in the entire school that was bullied

Oh that's neat, I actually didn't know that.
I would always play it on the website for the movie.
Didn't the Veggietales dvds also have hidden shit in the menus or was that a Disney dvd thing?

i frequented one of those servers that gave everyone a separate map to build on, and some nigger ruined my hard work by putting a lava block in the top corner

I'm a zoomer and he's the one who introduced me to Minecraft in like 2010 when he made that "How to survive your first night" Machinima video.
It's just Fancy Pants with an ME coat of paint, but I played it for hours because my shitty laptop couldn't run the actual game. On that note, Fancy Pants was fucking amazing.

I remember my 10 year old dumbass clicking on a roblox ad on xgenstudios thinking "These ads are always fake but this one feels real for some reason". I don't know why my dumbass decided to trust this one ad, maybe my love for legos took over because I couldn't buy many lego sets but goddamn am I glad I clicked on that shit. Genuinely fantastic game to have discovered that early, shame what it has become.

Only in its later years when SLAG was all but dead, unfortunately. It was really fun, though I wish they had fixed the viewmodel animations, having to cripple myself to get them working again was a pain.
