There's no incentive to. The grift is, GPUs are intentionally and artificially limited in production and specs and make a lot of money anyways no matter how high the price has been going up (for now). It takes too much resources to try to be a competitor. AMD and Intel have been trying to put a dent for years, but it seems like a lost cause. NVIDIA is just too far ahead of the curve and market share.
