Starfield is unironically the better game and better modder's sandbox.
Being trans of course, modders will stick to Skyrim like they stuck to their first sexual experience - masturbation.
ES6 could be a masterpiece and they will still mod Skyrim until they ack.

The main quests in both base and DLC are awful as well as all of the faction quests.

Its more to do with the fact the enemies dont get more difficult gameplay wise, it just determines how many times you have to hit an npc for them to die. Its only really felt with magic enemies who will start using expert level+ spells which can really fuck you up. A Draugr Death Overlord is just a Draugr with more health
