Funny thing is that Epoch ended up being the best marketing Turtle could ever wish for. Imagine spending years of your time programming and doing all the shit required to launch a private server just to make your competition automatically win.

That's really sad. It's like those people that end up getting addicted to food and get super fat, then they lose the weight and become obsessed with being anti the thing that consumed their life and want to have it banned without understanding not everyone has issues with impulse control.
Aside from that, at this point I'm pretty sure a large portion of the wow playerbase aren't even OG players but I can't verify this 'cause I don't play wow. It seems like if you're going to play an mmo, wow is the least shittiest one to play in this day and age, anyone getting into the genre is naturally going to gravitate towards the most popular one.
