The gunplay is sub-par, the "freeze=frame hyper shot" is insulting and the game itself constantly punishes you for having fun.
I wouldn't mind if the story could stand up but it just sucks compared to anything written by J Fenimore Cooper or Jack London..
And I'd rather watch any generic Spaghetti Western or Clint Eastwood film for a dose of cowboy media than spend a couple more hours playing through that slog.

My experience as well. I liked all the things that were added to the game that should've been in rdr1 but mechanics like accidentally running into trees on your horse or any minor thing needs an animation pickup is straight up retarded. The majority of the characters were not fucking memorable and later on in the game it was just a slog.

control. it has all the elements i love. weird powers, shooting, x-files spooky type shit. but idk its just not that good and anytime i try to play it the bugs get to me

Fatal frame 4 and 5. Especially 4. Some really great ideas but the actual gameplay is trash and the amount of walking and backtracking is ridiculous.

Palworld. I wanna like this game. Can't even control your pals so you have to gamble on how they use their abilities unlike a normal pocket monster game where you can choose unless they are mountables. The stats mean jackshit and only type and passives matter. For a game that advertises automation you have to handhold your pals a lot defeating the whole point of this game and automating is severely limiting and lacking in a few places. The mid to late game stops becoming a video game and is just a fucking grind holy shit. The moment you get to oilrigs and making palsteel the game becomes a fucking job with no reward for your grind its so fucking retarded.
tl;dr: just pokeslop for gooners with gacha like grind tacked. And this is coming from a gooner who would fuck half of these things

I love the idea of a roadtrip rpg racer. and while I had a lot of fun with ''keep driving'' it had no action elements.

On the surface heading out should be great; an arade racer rpg roadtrip across the us in a classic muscle car, outrunning your fears and cops, taking on races and oddjobs to supplment your income, events being sprinkled on your path to five color to the world. Also, as an hommage to classic road movies like vanishing point, there's radio channels that encourages your legend and rep.

Take this cool concept and ask the most pozzed hamfisted bluehair diversity hires to make a game from it. This is what you get.

''how can an adventure racer be woke? '' you ask? In the first few events I have been lectured on racial inequality, police power abuse, reproductive rights, religious overreach, and asked to ''punch a nazi'' (you cant refuse, just decide how hard) Every racer I've encountered was a sassy black girl and so is the main radio host that's crammed down your throat.

Now, not ALL events are full on blm propaganda, but even those that aren't are very poorly written and the whole attempt to give life to the trip comes off as tryhard and just bad.

I just discovered this game, and it's actual literal dogshit. I can't fucking believe a game this cool with that good of team management just fucking blows because the game does a shit job at teaching you anything. Then there's a high chance of party wipe for stupid reasons that is nearly impossible to recover from in the early game. So it's one of those "learn by blowing your own foot off that there's landmines everywhere" game. Fuck it.

Easily planescape torment. The only good thing about this game was the story everything else was decent. I wouldn’t consider this a real game. It’s akin to a visual novel. 95% of the time the player is in a dialog box. The worse thing about the dialog is the amount of detail(s) to things that just prolong the dialog. I still believe Bg2 mogs this.
