A remember the glider having a much more extravagant animation blossoming out instead of just popping up on your back. Some of the animations look REALLY rough transitioning from falling and recovering, and there's a little too much sliding magnetism that's a bit unpleasant to look at. I'm still cautiously hopeful though.

It's definitely kinda janky and they need to cut back on the particle effects a bit (or a lot) but I just really like how broad and unapologetic it is, it feels like such a Video Game y'know? I'm the kind of retard into EDF, God Hand, musou and Monster Hunter though, maybe it's just appealing to my autism specifically

Just looks like any other mediocre action game with a terrible camera and so many particle effects you can barely even see what's going on. The graphics aren't as impressive anymore either with how many years it's been since they first showed it off.

It'll be a decent game, I'd rather they work on Black Desert more, since I am hooked on that.

it's doing worse than ever or better than ever depending on who you ask. veterans are hating it but still sticking around, new players are loving it and still quitting within a couple months.

if you hated enhancing gear and loved how buying the majority of your upgrades on the marketplace was the meta in 2019-2023 then it's worse than ever.

if you like enhancing your own gear, using cron stones and p2w whaling then it's better than ever. there's no more open world pvp, this is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you wanted from the game. they added 5 more enhancement levels beyond pen.

Too many particles but overall it looks oke. Hopefully the devs know what are they doing and will add modding tools.

I guess, dragon's dogma has always had really weak mod support though. I vaguely remember for years that it was borderline impossible to mod besides some basic stuff.

If i spent zero money on the game can i still at a slow pace maintain relevancy just for basic play.

This all being on their own custom engine is impressive but it's also the reason we aren't getting character creation because those tools are a part whatever engine they were using for their older games.

And that's a good thing. even the huge afk fishing buff they did a while ago is good. Anything that retains players and makes them not want to flat out quit and never return has been a good thing as much as people say they hate it. The free quest pets is great, the lack of reliance on weight or inventory slots has been great. Half of the people I know that play wouldn't be playing atm if there were no catch up mechanics, qol changes or good afk income and the game would have died years ago. That's probably the most positive thing I can say about bdo, it's really easy to get back into if you haven't played in a long time and the amount of quality of life you might return to is enough to get a lot of people hooked back into the game.

These walk and talk sections they're showing off every trailer is a really bad sign, it means the dialogue can't be skipped cause the actors have to go through all their animations and end up in the right locations while you slowly waddle alongside them. It's gonna get real tedious.
Also the insane amount of particle effects are really off-putting, . earlier iterations of the game didn't have that much of it. Seems like they just keep piling on with particles like they're hiding something

They went way too hard on the special effects hopefully you can turn them down or off like in BDO.
I thought the past trailers looked a bit too good for what PA could put out, this looks more akin to what I'd expect from them, kinda shit.
