Time. For some it heals, for others it wounds. For our world it promises only oblivion, our hopes lost long ago.
But you...you have the power to change all of this. If time were a weapon to wield, would you undo the sins of ruin?
In this time, or maybe the next, you'll find how to save us all.

It's obviously Regret. It's the only one that requires introspection.
haven't played the game though

It doesn't matter what I select because Chris Avellone already decided what the answer is and will tell me my answer is wrong afterwards. Dialogue selection is such a cool system that isn't just a gaslighting waste of time and money that makes games worse.

Nothing can change the nature of a man! All of the options are just different aspects of the nature of man.

It's not, that specific instance has no correct answer, because the character asking you is trolling you. Later on when the final boss asks you the actual answer is belief, due to how the cosmology of the setting works.

No, if you answer her truthfully and genuinely believe, all of these options are correct, because belief is what can change the nature of a man. See>>718300121

Isn't that wrong, though? The right answer for the setting should be The Planes, since every soul belongs to AO and his bureaucrats and they can modify people at will or destroy them permanently. And once a soul enters The Planes it loses its attachments and starts to slowly dissolve.

But it is belief that shapes the planes, literally. Belief is a tangible force in Planescape, and enough belief can reshape entire towns and landscapes, such as what happens to Curst in Torment.

Isn't it faith (in gods) that shapes them rather than belief? It shouldn't be something that is relevant for mortals. It's just that AO decreed that godly power depends on worship. And gods shape the planes accordingly.
It would be completely silly if mortals could change themselves through belief.

No, belief can shape the planes independent of belief in gods. The planes are simply where the gods reside, the gods have no control of the planes outside of their domains.
