Yes, not even close. I thought Elden Ring was overrated, but I can at least appreciate what others love about it and it's still fun to play. Witcher 3 looks pretty, but in every other way it's annoying as shit.
close but Dragon Age and Mass Effect games are way more overrated than witcher. with witcher 3 at least you get a decent story, not great like some people say but for gaming standards it's okay. way too much talking for me but whatever. mass effect/dragon age has no redeeming qualities, none

Skyrim, no comparison. How did this piece of shit with horrible combat, awful forgettable characters, absolutely braindead questlines and horribly dumbed down rpg systems become so popular? It's a downgrade in basically every aspect compared to Morrowind and even Oblivion, yet it reached a ridiculous level of popularity.
Was it just carried by the soundtrack alone? Because I have trouble thinking of any other good element of this slop.

Oblivion is the actually overrated one, that game has the shittiest art style imaginable. Skyrim at least tried to have a Nordic look to it and that adds much more to the atmosphere of the game, which carries a lot of it. Oblivion on the other hand is tolkein wannabe shit, like we don't already have enough of that.

it's good but a lot of the criticisms about this game are true. for example it's far too reliant on the same basic batman-detective vision over and over again. hate games that hold you by the hand like a retard. next they're gonna put yellow paint on one of the swords to remind you which is for man and which is for monster.
