correct. it's a situation of "just because anon made a bad argument doesn't mean his position is incorrect." comparing an obscure mmo that slowly gained popularity over time, an obscure game that slowly gained popularity, etc., to a one-week prerelease window of a normie-magnet game that's not even out is obviously completely dishonest.
battlefield is right up there with cod with being normie-bait. i'm not even implying that's a bad thing necessarily, but that's its biggest market and that market doesn't pay much attention to prerelease. they're also much more heavily skewed toward playing on consoles, which aren't going to be tracked by steam charts.
it's probably going to do just fine (unfortunately) and you're going to have people spamming its steam numbers after release with the opposite sentiment either because they're fanboys or just like to be generally irritating.
also the last battlefield that was actually good was 2142, franchise needs to die already
