If white D5 to C4. D5 being open exposes nothing of value and only lets panic defenses fall into bad positioning to let White take.
C7 is locked down and cant develop or threaten in a meaningful time window, B4 forced to take C4 back unless position is abandoned.
E6 to C4 completes a very favorable trade.

If black C7 to D5 for an easy immediate trade. A7 to A5 to threaten White's position. Worst case they feed their strongest piece to your strongest piece, best case they flounder and that bishop on E6 can be dealt with.

You can slightly change the starting positions in RTS and pro is a pro, n00b is a n00b.
Change piece starting positions in chess a bit and suddenly chess players lose to players 1000 rating below their ELO because they simply have no idea where the game is going to go. They don't know how to move the pieces on a field. They have memorised a bunch of precompiled approaches.

Bishop on F for White is in a good spot to destroy the right half of Black's field too. Wouldn't wanna be Black on that one but I think it's winnable unless White commits to a trade that'll force the king to take white bishop to protect itself then follows up by throwing the bishop on F2 all the way up to A7.

Knowledge is part of what makes someone skilled at something. Knowing the ins and outs of something, knowing what could happen and how likely it is going to happen is knowledge and helps to deal with rng and manage risks.
