Diana helped 47 fake his death in Blood Money, implying that 47 is now going fully freelance unconnected to the Nu-ICA, then Absolution comes around and 47 is working for the Nu-ICA and is sent to kill Diana and the hole Agent 47 but as a little girl plot happens, the ending then implies that the Nu-ICA fell apart and or Diana and 47 are no longer working for the ICA. Then Hitman 2015 > World of Assassination comes around as a sort of soft-reboot so Diana and 47 are now part of the ICA again.

syringe is less niche because it doesn't rely on an NPC consuming something. You can use it on anyone with the tradeoff being that you have to be directly behind him/her of course
But either way I still don't get why you'd waste a loadout slot on a consumable item that only renders people unconscious when you could just throw a wrench or whatever

I haven't played the Hitman 3 levels yet, but I hope doing SASO on Master isn't quite so disappointing as what I just went through with Mumbai, like damn, only having to infiltrate a tiny beach house is crazy. Actually easier than Hawke's Bay

Contracts had the best and the most fitting atmosphere for this universe. It's a shame that they never repeated that. Nu-Hitman was a test run for the James Bond game so it's full of moments forcing you into a quasi-spy or (in cutscenes) hero role. Fortunately the stories in the missions themselves are good enough. Even though it's far from ideal Absolution was still worse, the writing room created a product for edgy 13 years old boys which always makes me cringe while replaying it
