They nailed the tone and the game actually makes you feel like Robocop, a lot of shortcomings can be forgiven due to this, its a game for fans

Every now and then, a game that is simply bad happens to be "likeable". These games don't stand the test of time, however, which is kind of obvious, because for something to stand the test of time, it needs to have the ability to provoke something deeper in the people who experience it, which mediocre games that managed to escape criticism by sheer luck do not do.

its fun to play and it has character, it leaves a good impression on the player, in spite of it lacking some bullet points that marketers think make a good game. its not my favorite game but you can tell it was made by people who enjoyed making it and there wasn't much influence from Corporate Nobility, which makes it a rare gem. if you go into it thinking "this had better be better than my favorite game" then no shit it seems mediocre but if you go in with reasonable expectations regarding a licensed Robocop game by a small studio then you'll be very pleasantly surprised. it also has good boss fights which even the last 2 DOOM games couldn't get right.

You need to understand that when this game came out they were still pushing things like race swap, gender swap, narrative subversion, and general disdain for established fanbase. This game was just robocop. Nothing more, nothing less. It was refreshing.

it's a solid AA game which a lot of people could afford and buy, because Robocop is just cool, its also different from many other modern cheaper shooters so it stood out while also having some cool ideas

I played it on easy and roleplayed as robotcop going real slow. But it does feel like an early xbox360 game like condemned or some shit.

A game can have features that are good and that are bad. Sometimes you have a game with features so good you tolerate the bad. An example is Deadly Premonition.
The only game I could confidently say is "perfect" as in without any bad, would be the first Portal. But even being a "perfect" game, it's not astounding or gripping.
Anyway ya Robocop is not perfect, but the good is good.

I like the game but I don't like how it makes my PC fans sound like a jet engine about to take off. I realistically can only play it during the winter when my room gets cold enough I don't have to worry about overheating.
