why not? battle network had an anime, a movie, toys, physical pets you could buy like digimon vpets and get chips to play with, multiple spin off games. it definitely belongs

In like 1998 I saw a Mega Man commercial featuring small children saying "MEGA MAN"!.

I had no idea who he was at the time and it didn't make me particularly interested, but I saw it.

Probably Battle Network 3 or 6. Yokai Watch 3 is also really good but you just can't top BNs combat.
