You're a retarded gorilla nigger and are not arguing in good faith. A small reduction in volume of fire is a viable tradeoff for removing the logistical trail using personal weapons completely for 99% of military scenarios. That is if we don't just acknowledge the fact you can mod your weapons to fire forever.
It would only be an improvement if it still allowed the weapons to fire without a heat sink, but the sink would be a powerup to increase effective rate of fire.

Reddit tier. It's an innovation because why the fuck would they possibly take a step backwards? You'd have to have been there to know that and Shepard wasn't; so naturally he would assume it was an innovation. He shouldn't know why the gun isn't firing. Probably assume that (somehow) someone managed to fire it enough times that it actually requires a manual reload, something that happens in ME lore but so rarely because the bullets are the size of sand grains that the only example of it in lore is Shepard in the War Hero backstory.

Why did they switch from a single internal heat sink with self-cooling systems to endless disposable heat sinks that are seemingly incapable of ever cooling down and therefore are rendered unusable after firing a few shots? Why can't the gun use the same self-cooling systems previous weapons already had to cool its current heat sink if a new thermal clip isn't available?
I think someone is profiting off of selling new thermal clips.

In ME1 the shards of metal shaved off the magazine were so small that guns had functionally unlimited ammo. A few years after that advancement in armor became significant enough that more material needed to get shaved off the magazine for more mass/penetration power, resulting in guns no longer having unlimited ammo.

In a perfect world it would be like how Helldivers 2 handles it where heat dissipates naturally but if you max out you must swap it because you totally burned it out, and if you're at high heat you can tactical reload without having burned out because it's much faster than waiting for natural cooling.

Ive never changed classes either midway through
And you do plenty of gunning down shit since its entire shtick is charging (like blinking in dishonored) to an enemy, and then blasting them with a shotgun
In me1, charge doesnt exist....... But by planet three of the main quest, I was able to just walk up to enemies and shoot them with my shotgun without a problem
Ignore every other power on your own bar (your companions will pay support with theirs in me2)
Then you get to me3 where using other powers at times will not debilitate your ability to charge and nova. Pull is for enemies with shields, shockwave can be ignored entirely, lash is fun to whip around occasionally, reave are both good for nerfing a large crowd from cover... Never thought to use other powers, even carnage isnt worth it as it put you on a cooldown

Do her recruitment after every other person is on the team and preferably after the retarded man gaslights you into going to the collector ship to get the only gun you need, the claymore

>make it to the colossus and keep charging onto it
The issue is that on LE the colossus has a minigun attack it's been programmed to spam out. You cannot reliably spam charge onto him to finish the job and get it to about half hp before dying, the infinite geth spawning doesn't help. I usually just run up the right side and kill the colossus with the heavy collector rifle from where it can't hit me back now.

You might be right about everything you've said there, but with almost every single upgrade for shepbro (which is possible after collector ship mission with shops and mission drops) and your powers at level 4, it's completely doable
I was stumped at that fight too....came back later with maybe 3-4 loyalty missions done, everyone recruited and collector ship completed... And my shields held out barely if and when I got into the rhythm despite everything
It took a few tries, but its doable, barely
I'm pretty sure I was told by a friend to do it like you did too, and iirc, I was as arrogant back then and hell bent on charging till my dick fell off as I am today

Using anything other than a claymore on vanguard makes no sense
However, in me3 you get the lancer in the fanservice dlc, its a rifle with no ammo like in me1, it can be used to great effectiveness with a fully maxed out cryo ammo power
